Designed for no-fuss use and high-pressure performance, this chest is made from double-walled steel for superior strength. The five drawers each have 55-pound ball bearing drawer slides for smooth performance, and feature catch-and-hold systems that keep them from accidentally opening. Four of the drawers measure 22.4W x 10.8D x 1.85H inches, while the fifth drawer is 22.4W x 10.8D x 2.8H inches. Overall, the chest measures 26W x 12D x 16H inches- just the right size for use in basements, garages, or workrooms.
A powder-coated paint finish keeps this chest looking great; it resists chips and scratches even in rough work environments. Weighs 47.5 pounds.

The tool box is great, it was everything the web site said it would be. Looks great in my truck.

They did not scrimp on paint on this box, very thick and nice metallic Deep Blue (just slightly darker than shown), compliments any professional shop (or LAB in my case) and bearings in trays slide very smooth and firmly close and stay closed. I have 12+ years experience in machining anything from small to large aircraft parts on 3,4,5 and 6 axis CNC mills both horizontal and vertical. Manual experience included. I have owned many brands of tool chests. Yes Kennedy may be one of the best quality built tool storage out there but I give Excel the runner up. It is sturdy and has ball bearing drawers that can handle just about as much weight and for the price you can't beat it. The nice powder coated blue is refreshing too. Where I work all you see is brown wrinkle finishes and this one really stands out. It looks nice and I plan to buy the rollaway box plus the 2 drawer intermediate chest next week. I would definitely recommend this storage system to anybody looking for a good box that will last them years to come at an affordable price.

I bought one of these 2 years and it worked great for me. Recently my garage was robbed and my toolbox was stolen, but I replaced it with the same as I had before. I liked it so well, I never even considered another type or size.
